基于ACM系统的LC-MMSE信道估计算法研究

摘要:
论述了应用于ACM系统的信道估计技术,针对MMSE信道估计算法复杂性高、运算量大的问题,论文提出了一种低复杂度的LC-MMSE算法,并在给定的多径衰落信道下进行了仿真,仿真结果表明:LC-MMSE算法与MMSE算法相比,在均方误差为10-3时性能接近,且算法复杂性相对较低;与SVD算法相比,具有1~2 dB的性能增益,有效地提高了MMSE算法在实际中的应用。

Exploring Low-Complexity Minimum Mean Square Error (LC-MMSE) Algorithm for Channel Estimation in Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) System

Abstract:
It is well known that channel estimation is important for overall performance of an ACM system. There-fore,we propose the LC-MMSE algorithm and apply it to the ACM system. Through optimizing the parameters inthe Q matrix,the LC-MMSE algorithm reduces the computational complexity of the MMSE algorithm on the precon-dition that its performance is not harmed. Then we explain how to simplify the algorithm and why it can reduce thecomputational complexity. Finally,we simulate the LC-MMSE algorithm with a given multipath fading channel.The simulation results,presented in Fig. 2 and 3 and their comparison with other algorithms show preliminarilythat: (1) our LC-MMSE algorithm is better than the singular value decomposition(SVD) algorithm and the linearminimum mean square error(LMMSE) algorithm; (2) when mean square error(MSE) is 10-3 ,the signal to noiseratio(SNR) of the LC-MMSE algorithm is 1 to 2 dB lower than that of the SVD algorithm. Thus the LC-MMSE al-gorithm greatly reduces its computational complexity.
