Milling Process Simulation and Milling Stress Analysis for the Milling Drum

摘要: 针对铣刨鼓铣刀易发生失效的情况,研究了铣刨鼓铣刀铣削路面过程中刀具切削应力的变化规律及切削要素对其影响。使用Johnson-cook本构关系及其断裂准则建立了沥青路面的材料模型;根据铣刨机铣削沥青路面的工况,基于ABAQUS有限元法建立了铣刨鼓铣削沥青路面的有限元模型,探究了铣刨鼓以不同切削速度、进给速度、切削厚度铣削沥青路面时铣刀的切削应力变化规律。结果表明:切削应力随着切削速度的增大而增大;切削应力随切削深度的增大而增大;切削应力随进给速度的增大而减小。Abstract: Owing to the frequent failure of milling drum, the necessity appears that the various rules of the milling stress during the surface milling process and the effects that the milling elements have on the milling stress should be researched. The working principle of milling drum was analyzed. Finite element model of the process that milling drum mills asphalt pavement was established in ABAQUS according to the material model based on Johnson-cook constitutive relation and fracture criterion. Then the whole milling process was simulated, and the variation process of milling force when the milling drum mills asphalt pavement with different speeds, feed rates, and cutting depths.The result was concluded: cutting stress increases with cutting speed and the growth rate is about 0.022 to 0.026MPa/(r/min); Cutting stress increases with a larger cutting depth. The growth rate is about 0. 414 to0.493 MPa/mm; Conversely, Cutting stress decreases when feed speed increases. The growth rate is about-0.037 2 to-0.036 6 MPa/(mm/s).
